Hey Art Friends!
Welcome back to the Mandakyns Channel!
Today’s episode is about how to create NEW Fabric from Serger Scraps with a sewable iron-on fusible interfacing using the free motion sewing foot! Be sure to check out last weeks video on how to change the general purpose foot to the free motion foot!
I don’t like to throw things away and love to repurpose things or reuse them in innovative ways! I thought I would share this great idea to use up your stash of serger scraps!
Don’t forget your darning plate if you can’t lower your feed dogs. Note: Your machine may also require the stitch length to be set to “0,” please see your sewing machine’s manual if you have a different machine.
This tutorial explains how to “doodle” with your machine using the free motion foot, similar to the way that you draw with ink from a pen using your needle and thread creating an interesting design to hold down the edges of the scraps of fabric!
